Primary Responsibilities:

Negotiate ocean freight rates forwarders.

Review and approve all bookings made to forwarders.

Monitor movement of all shipments from departure at origin through the return of the empty to the port.

Conduct audit of broker’s customs entry CF7501 for all GMC goods moved on FOB basis, requests corrections when necessary.

Review ACH statement for payment of duties marrying it to the shipments and CF7501.

Update the Shipment Manager files in ERP for each shipment in transit.

Build and maintain GMC HTSUS data base, providing Sourcing/production team with information on duties of items for costing purposes.

Distribute shipping documents to A/P & production as well as the broker for filing customs entry.

Request quarterly container projections from the factories. Use this information to share with forwarders so they have knowledge of our equipment needs and can start securing space with the carriers.

Provide warehouse with monthly container forecast, the report is continuously updated and shared a few times during the month.

Run and distribute on Mondays “In Transit Report” to CFO and Accounting dept.

Review and approve freight invoices sent by the forwarders, Trucking invoices. Work with A/P to resolve any discrepancies/ inconsistencies.

Create and maintain files for each shipment – filing includes commercial documents, CF7501, freight invoices, Warehouse In & Out invoices and trucking invoices.

Ensure forwarders send Delivery order to warehouse in timely manner for pick up & delivery of containers.

Provide A/P with data as it relates to final cost of an item shipped.

Strong communication, Excel, ERP skills (familiar with Blue Cherry ERP a plus) (heavy volume-Walmart a plus)

Description:

Better Branded  Manufacture looking for Technical Designer for Woven Dresses,Tops,Bottoms, & Cut & sew Knits. Generate specs, participating in fittings, and make corrections as needed. Communicate with factories on comments and/or corrections. Candidate should be detailed oriented, organized and have excellent communication skills.

Description:

Create detailed development and production tech packs far overseas vendors for up to 150 styles per season in wovens, knits and sweaters.

Create detailed tech packs for domestic vendors for cut and sew and swimwear for up to 100 styles per season.

Spec and check all garments for construction and quality issues before fittings and advise design department of any issues that need to be addressed before production is complete to ensure there will be no delays.

Communicate with overseas vendors regarding all technical issues as they pertain to fit, construction and quality.

Communicate with domestic vendors on all technical issues from development through production

Work with patternmakers daily on issues pertaining to construction and fit.

Developed and maintained the technical Deparment's tracking chart to ensure all garments are approved for sampling and production in accordance to the time and action calendar.

Must have:

Photoshop, Illustrator and EXCEL.

Adobe illustrator adobe skills in creating flat technical sketch.

Working with factories in china with Protos

- lead and manage relationships and projects with outside agencies / teams (developers,ERP SYSTEM A2000, , copywriter, photographers, paid search consultant

- identify issues / strategize resolutions and processes to enhance experience with shipping partners

- work cross-functionally with marketing to develop marketing / ecomm calendar

- conceptualize and execute email marketing strategy - segmentation, automated emails, weekly calendar emails

- strategize and execute promotions based on low sell-thru and holiday calendar

- develop and oversee affiliate marketing strategy / partners  

- oversee initiation of partnerships with like-minded brands
