We are looking for a full-time Director of Technology to be based at our headquarters in Secaucus, NJ.

We design, manufacture, import, and distribute women’s dresses and sportswear in both the wholesale and retail sectors. We manage digital and drop ship businesses.

Under the supervision of the President, the Director of Technology should provide a dynamic, collaborative, independent and forward-thinking vision. He or she must lead and manage our technology systems and services to support our mid-size apparel firm.

The overarching responsibilities include the planning, development, implementation, management and maintenance of all applications, infrastructure, security, networks, and technology training. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of EDI.

Responsibilities

Oversee and drive entire technology strategy
Implement company-wide technology policy
Identify technology needs and make recommendations to leadership team that ensure optimal employee and client experience
Oversee selection, implementation and integration of all technology efficiently
Be “hands-on” with our systems and understand the business processes in our sector
Select and manage vendors to support network, ERP, PLM, Database, Phone, and other related technologies
Select and manage vendors for development of custom applications
Propose and oversee technology-related budget line items
Ensure all employees are appropriately trained on our technology and platforms

Qualifications
Project management experience

Experienced with EDI and related technologies

Strong ability to motivate, delegate and manage
Experience overseeing software/app development on multiple platforms
Ability to identify projects and develop solutions with minimal supervision
Fluency with current technology in the Apparel and Consumer Products industry

4 to 6 years’ experience at the Senior Manager or Director level
